Device Security
Authentication means verifying that the device is authentic, the server is legitimate, and verifying the data has not been tampered with.
Recovery Mode
Recovery mode uses Jostle Tracking to start and stop trips, using the device’s accelerometer to detect movement.
Pulse Counting
The mechanical contact is generally open and will close when a magnet is close enough in proximity. In a rain gauge, this will activate (open and close) when water passes through the meter.
